Breathtaking scenery and an abundance of wildlife makes RSPB Lake Vyrnwy an abundance of wildlife makes RSPB Lake Vyrnwy nature reserve a magical and unforgettable day out for the whole family, at any time of the year. Beyond the woodland there is heathland and damp pasture, completing a diverse array of habitats with a great variety of wildlife. It is the perfect home for rare birds such as hen harriers, goshawks and pied flycatchers. Our reserve is open all year around.

Stroll along one of our many nature trails through mysterious forests dating back to the last ice age. There are 6 trails to choose from, ranging from 1 mile to 9 mile circular routes.
